Service Overview
Mechanically Polished Concrete for Commercial Floors
Resin Me Epoxy delivers mechanically polished concrete for commercial and industrial spaces across Sydney. The system can suit retail, showrooms, offices, warehouses and other sites that need a durable exposed-concrete finish without a topical coating.
The process is planned around the slab and specification and may include progressive diamond grinding, grout or pinhole treatment, densification and polishing through the selected grit sequence. Aggregate exposure depends on how the slab was placed and finished, previous grinding and the depth required to remove damage or coatings.
Gloss and clarity are agreed before work starts, with a sample or representative test area used where practical. Existing slabs naturally vary, so aggregate distribution, colour and repaired areas may not look perfectly uniform. Edges and restricted areas can also differ from the main machine-polished floor.
Commercial grinders and H-Class dust extraction are used where access and power allow. Curing time, moisture, contamination, floor flatness and nearby trades can affect the programme. Polished concrete is durable, but it is not stain-proof or automatically slip-proof and requires an appropriate cleaning and maintenance plan.
For an accurate quote, provide the floor area, slab age and condition, desired aggregate exposure and gloss, access, available power and programme. Our Projects page includes an 800-grit commercial floor at Sydney Outlet Village and a 3000-grit existing-floor match.

How much does polished concrete cost in Sydney?
A useful polished-concrete price starts with the slab and the finish specification, rather than a single advertised rate per square metre. Floor area matters, but so do existing glue or coatings, aggregate exposure, grinding and polishing stages, edges, repairs, access and the working programme. A large open floor and a small divided tenancy can have very different preparation requirements.
Ask whether a quotation includes coating or adhesive removal, crack and pinhole treatment, edge work, the polishing sequence, any protective treatment, cleaning and handover. Confirm whether the stated price includes GST. Resin Me Epoxy provides a project-specific quotation after reviewing your floor, intended finish and access.
For an indicative budget, our published pricing guide lists 800-grit mechanical polishing at A$100–140/m² excluding GST, based on a sound slab and standard exposure. Full aggregate exposure, extensive grouting or repairs, difficult edges and contamination can add to the cost. The guide separates finish specifications and large-open-floor assumptions; the written quotation confirms your actual scope.
Polished concrete or grind and seal: which finish suits the floor?
Mechanically polished concrete develops its finish through progressively finer abrasives, usually with densification and specified protective treatments. In a grind-and-seal floor, the selected sealer supplies much of the final appearance and protection. Compare the required appearance, traffic, maintenance, downtime and substrate condition before choosing. A shiny sealer is not the same specification as mechanical polishing.
Can an existing floor be polished after glue, paint or epoxy removal?
It may be suitable, but removal does not guarantee a uniform decorative finish. Adhesive shadowing, paint penetration, patches and previous repairs can remain visible. We assess the existing slab and discuss a representative test area where practical before agreeing aggregate exposure and sheen. See glue and tile-adhesive removal and old coating removal when planning the preparation.
Commercial polished-concrete project evidence

Our Sydney Outlet Village project records 250 m² of retail-floor grinding and refinement to 800 grit. Our 3000-grit floor-matching project shows a different brief: working towards an existing polished finish. Use the project photographs to discuss your preferred appearance; the result on another slab is not a guarantee for yours.
Request a polished-concrete quotation
For commercial floors, retail fit-outs, showrooms, warehouses or repeat subcontract work across Sydney, send the approximate floor area in m², site suburb, current-floor photographs and required timing. Add the desired exposure and sheen, intended use, any existing coating, access restrictions and plans or finish specification if available.
Request a polished-concrete quote and choose “Mechanically polished concrete”, or email your photographs and plans. Compare grind and seal if you are still choosing the finish.
