Service Overview
Commercial Concrete Grinding in Sydney
Resin Me Epoxy provides commercial concrete grinding across Greater Sydney for warehouses, factories, workshops, retail fit-outs, construction sites and other large concrete areas. Mechanical grinding is used to remove weak or unwanted surface material, reduce suitable coatings and contaminants, correct selected high areas and create the specified surface profile for the next flooring system.
Equipment, diamond tooling and grinding passes are selected for the concrete hardness, existing coating or residue, required removal depth, machinery access and handover condition. We review these factors before confirming the written scope.
Agree the Grinding Scope and Handover
- Large-area diamond grinding and concrete profiling
- Removal of suitable paint, coatings and surface contamination
- Weak laitance and surface-residue removal
- Preparation for epoxy flooring, tiles, vinyl and other specified systems
- Localised high-spot reduction where included in the scope
- Accessible edge and perimeter preparation
- Industrial vacuuming and prepared-slab handover
Filip Plesko reviews your scope directly and confirms equipment selection and mobilisation. The written quotation identifies agreed removal, grinding, accessible edges, industrial vacuum cleaning and handover. Repairs, substantial levelling, waste handling and the final flooring system are confirmed separately where required. See our indicative commercial preparation pricing for budget guidance.
Preparation-Only Grinding Packages for Builders and Flooring Contractors
Builders, estimators and flooring contractors can engage us for grinding and agreed slab preparation as a separate subcontract package, with handover to their nominated flooring installer. Start with the site suburb, approximate m² and available photos or plans. Include the flooring specification and timing if known. Send your initial scope to admin@resinmeepoxy.com.au, or use our commercial grinding enquiry form. We will advise whether an inspection or test grind is needed. Call 0490 101 266 to discuss the scope.

1,500 m² warehouse preparation in Campbelltown. We mechanically prepared approximately 1,500 m² of warehouse concrete in Campbelltown over two working days, using a Husqvarna PG 6 DR with dust-controlled extraction and perimeter preparation. Our scope finished at prepared-slab handover; the owner's employees installed the epoxy flooring. See the warehouse grinding scope and project photos.
2,000 m² Sydney CBD fit-out preparation. Our documented CBD tenancy project combined approximately 1,000 m² of carpet-glue removal with 1,000 m² of grinding existing polished concrete, followed by industrial vacuum cleaning and handover to the incoming fit-out team. See the Sydney CBD removal, grinding and handover scope.
Our main grinding equipment can be connected to commercial dust extraction to capture dust at the source. Smaller edge and hand-grinding equipment is used in accessible areas outside the reach of the main machine where included. Site-specific protection, power, access and waste arrangements are considered during quoting and planning.
Grinding can expose cracks, aggregate variation, old repairs, contamination and differences in concrete hardness that were hidden by a coating or floor covering. It does not automatically level an entire slab or guarantee a uniform decorative finish. If repairs, levelling or additional removal are required, they are identified and quoted separately.
Large Warehouse and Factory Floor Preparation
Large, open floor areas and clear machinery access allow us to plan continuous grinding runs and coordinate multiple machines where appropriate. We assess concrete hardness, coating or adhesive thickness, edges, available power and the required surface profile before confirming the programme and quotation.
Preparation-only packages are scoped around the flooring system that follows. For empty warehouses, make-good works and factory refurbishments, send plans, the approximate floor area, photos of the existing surface and any staging or downtime requirements. View our commercial grinding equipment and site capability.
Can you grind a commercial floor when site power is limited?
We have 32 kVA and 16 kVA Makinex generator capability for suitable commercial projects where the available site supply does not meet the planned equipment load. We confirm the machinery, access, generator placement and site requirements before mobilisation. Send the available power details with your floor area and programme so we can assess the setup. See equipment and site-power capability.
Planning a 1,000 m²+ Floor-Preparation Package
For a large warehouse, factory or commercial fit-out, send the total floor area and the area available in each stage. An open floor and a staged, occupied site need different mobilisation and programme planning. Floor area alone does not establish the preparation rate or price.
- Existing floor: photos of coatings, glue, toppings and exposed concrete; identify what will already be removed.
- Next flooring system: the specification, required surface profile and any floor-level survey or tolerance requirements.
- Access and power: loading route, doorways, lift limits, work level and confirmed site power details. We assess independent power where needed.
- Programme: available work areas, permitted hours, shutdowns and the required handover date for each stage.
- Scope boundaries: accessible edges, repairs, high-spot reduction, cleaning, waste handling and protection of the prepared slab.
Where the existing surface or removal rate is uncertain, a test area may be needed before the programme and scope can be confirmed. Agree how the prepared area will be inspected and handed over with the project team and incoming flooring contractor.
Send a large-area preparation scope, view our equipment and mobilisation capability, or see the preparation-only handover requirements.
High-Spot Grinding and Localised Slab Correction
We assess raised concrete, ridges and localised surface irregularities for controlled grinding. Send photos, the affected area and any floor-level survey or tolerance requirements. Grinding reduces suitable high areas; it does not fill low sections or automatically bring the whole slab to a specified level. Repairs, levelling and structural concerns need separate assessment. See our elevated slab grinding case study for an example of high-spot reduction with restricted equipment access.
Is adhesive removal included in a grinding package?
Adhesive and coating removal can be included where specified after assessment of the material and substrate. See carpet glue and adhesive removal and epoxy and coating removal for the information needed to quote the removal scope.
Our Commercial Concrete Grinding Process
01 — Site Inspection and Scope Review
We review the accessible slab, current finish, contamination, floor area, edges, services, power requirements, equipment access and the preparation outcome required by the next trade.
02 — Tooling and Equipment Selection
Diamond or removal tooling is selected for the concrete and material being treated. A test area may be recommended where the coating, bond, slab hardness or achievable removal rate is uncertain.
03 — Controlled Mechanical Grinding
The slab is treated in planned, overlapping passes. Cutting response and the remaining surface are monitored so the grinding method can be adjusted without removing more concrete than the agreed scope requires.
04 — Edge and Detail Work
Accessible edges, doorways, columns and restricted sections are prepared with suitable smaller equipment where these areas form part of the quotation.
05 — Vacuuming and Handover
The work area is industrially vacuumed and reviewed against the quoted preparation standard. Newly exposed defects or further work are raised with the project contact before the next flooring stage.
Grinding for Commercial Flooring Projects
We work with builders, head contractors, flooring installers, facility managers and property owners. The grinding scope can be coordinated with demolition, fit-out and flooring programmes to reduce conflicts between trades and protect the prepared slab before installation.
Where a project requires several removal and preparation methods, see our concrete floor preparation service. Examples of completed large-area work are available on our commercial projects page.
Commercial Preparation and Repeat Work
We assess commercial projects individually, including open warehouse floors, staged fit-outs and localised preparation. Send your scope for assessment; floor condition, required preparation, machinery access and programme determine the quotation.
Clear scopes, repeat mobilisation and coordinated access support efficient delivery for builders and flooring contractors. Each package is quoted against the preparation requirements, site conditions, programme and agreed handover.
SEND YOUR PLANS OR FLOOR SCOPE
